Making your own mid century modern side table is a fun simple project that can be completed in a weekend. With a few common household tools and supplies that are available in any store home improvement, you can create a simple wooden dining table you can be proud to display. The construction of a dining table is a perfect project for a novice wood worker, due to its simple construction. A table is basically a top, four legs and a structure to support the table in its upright position.
Determine the size table you want to do. Choose your mid century modern side table first, and lay out the bottom upwards. Place all materials in the work area; set them on a tarp to protect the wood while working. Place the pieces of wood on the inside of the top bar, centered in the middle of each lane. Using the drill, screw wooden supports on the tabletop, and then to the railing.
Place a corner support in each of the four corners of the top bar, and using a drill to screw both sides of the corner support to the adjacent lanes. Make a hole in the center of each corner support. The holes are used to connect the legs to each corner of the top bar.
One at a time, place one leg to a corner bracket using a bolt coach. The coach bolt is inserted through the leg and the corner support. The bolt should be secured with coach bolt cover. Once the legs are secure, turn your mid century modern side table.
